Best Synthesia Alternative in 2026
Enterprise AI avatar video platform
Looking for a Synthesia alternative? Discover how Genviral creates viral social content without the enterprise complexity.
What is Synthesia?
Synthesia is an enterprise-grade AI video platform used by over 50,000 companies, including Fortune 100 organizations, to create professional videos without cameras, studios, or actors. It is the #1 rated AI video generation platform on G2 with a 4.7/5 rating from over 2,300 reviews.
The platform offers 240+ pre-built AI avatars and supports 160+ languages for voiceovers and dubbing. Users can create a personal avatar clone for branded content, and the AI dubbing feature can translate existing videos while maintaining natural lip-sync. Synthesia also includes an AI screen recorder, brand kit for visual consistency, and live collaboration tools for team workflows.
Synthesia is purpose-built for corporate use cases: learning and development, sales enablement, marketing, internal communications, and knowledge management. Industries like manufacturing, healthcare, financial services, and tech rely on it for scalable video production across global teams.
The platform includes analytics, version control, video interactivity, and SCORM/xAPI compliance for integration with LMS platforms. Its Starter plan begins at $29/mo, with a Creator plan at $89/mo and custom Enterprise pricing for large organizations.

What Users Say About Synthesia
I signed up for Synthesia's Starter Monthly plan after seeing a 7-day free trial advertised. I requested a refund well within their 15-day consumer refund period, but they refused to issue it. Their support agent refused to transfer me to a supervisor. I barely used the platform. Their advertised free trial and refund policies do not seem to be honored in practice.
Please do not get Synthesia. The personal avatar is atrocious. I paid $89 for the monthly because all the avatars looked so great. My avatar was shaking and the voice was screechy. They also have weird policies and restrictions. If you get a monthly subscription they do not offer a refund even if you only used it for a few hours. Worst AI avatar generator I tried.
An absolutely dreadful experience. I spent 6 hours writing a script to provide an explanation video. Our scripts were rejected without any reason given. Customer Service is AI based and when you do get hold of a human they just send copy-paste responses. I went through their appeal process, it was approved, then immediately rejected again. Still no explanation.
If there would be only one service I could pick for not recommending, that would be Synthesia. I spent 6 hours to create time sensitive content, my video got rejected. My content was educational, it did not have any claim as media agency. The answer I got was upgrade your membership to enterprise account. Terrible waste of time, opportunity and money.
This company doesn't issue refunds so think before you spend as unreasonable moderation is disruptive to your work. Moderation is not reliable! Waste of time and money to even pay for this! I paid and within 10 days, it keeps moderating the lessons I was creating!
It could be a good experience, but it's not very user-friendly to try out. I wanted to experiment with video dubbing using a 7:30-minute video. It took about 30 minutes just to get a one-minute demo back. I couldn't even download it. I also couldn't enter comments without paying for a membership. You can't really appreciate it without paying.
Why users switch from Synthesia
Synthesia is an enterprise-grade platform built for Fortune 100 companies producing training videos, internal communications, and multilingual content at scale. It excels in corporate use cases but lacks the social publishing, organic content formats, and creator-friendly workflow needed for daily social media content.
No social media publishing or scheduling
Synthesia has no built-in publishing to any social platform. Genviral connects directly to TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook with automated scheduling for up to 30 days of content.
Corporate avatars, not social content
Synthesia produces avatar-based talking-head videos designed for corporate training and demos. Genviral creates slideshow-style storytelling with community and AI imagery optimized for organic social engagement.
Enterprise pricing and complexity
Synthesia locks many features behind its Creator ($89/mo) and Enterprise tiers, with content moderation that can block benign content. Genviral keeps things simple and accessible starting at $29/mo.
No community or UGC content tools
Synthesia is a solo creation tool with no community-sourced content. Genviral includes community image packs and AI-generated visuals so your content feels authentic and trend-aware rather than scripted.
Best Synthesia alternative: Genviral
Genviral is a content automation platform purpose-built for creators and small teams who need to publish social content fast. It combines AI slideshows, community-sourced visuals, and UGC creators with built-in scheduling and direct publishing to TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
Where Synthesia targets enterprise teams with avatar videos and LMS integrations, Genviral focuses entirely on organic social content. The workflow is simpler, the interface is faster, and every feature is designed to help you go from idea to published post in minutes rather than hours.
